What is this project about?
We've been studying one of the two widely accepted theories of our past: Evolution. In said theory, all of the organisms and creatures in the world all came from a common ancestor, a single-celled organism. And through mutations, these organisms changed. Due to the climate of their surroundings, these mutations could be beneficial or harmful, and the beneficial ones were able to reproduce and pass on their genes. Because of this, slowly they turned into different creatures altogether and branched off into birds, amphibians, mammals, and anything else you can think of. So in order to better understand evolution, we made models of animals in the middle ground of two big categories of species. Ours was what separated the dinosaurs and the birds. We named it the Raptorbird, as it was loosely based off of the microraptor. Watch the video for more info.
I think the biggest flaw with our group was that we were thinking too complex with our project. Our idea was originally going to be a model from styrofoam, and we ended up spending $30 of styrofoam, but then as it turned out, we couldn't work with it that well, and we were making a huge mess, so we ended up using clay and wasting that $30. We need to learn to work with ideas that are more efficient, even if they are simpler. After all, as GLaDOS once said: "The easiest solution is also the best one."
We also thought too complex with he video. We wanted our credits scene to be a bloopers/bts scene, but there was very little to credit, so we couldn't fit enough bloopers into the credits. I think we only put in three.
We all worked really well together, though. We all agreed with our ideas and shared opinions in a good way, and ended up having fun with this project.
